Halloween and our spook-tacular monsters

Calling all employees of Monsters Inc. The Pixar classic and one of our kids’ current favorite movies.

Please meet: Mike Wazowski (Elliott), Boo (Harper), Sully (Nathan), and Roz (Jacy)

Elliott has been counting down the days until Halloween for the last two weeks, so it would be an understatement to say there was excitement in the air. Plus, this is such a fun age for this holiday!!

Monday started out with a fancy breakfast of cinnamon rolls designed to be a skeleton — ‘CinnaBoney.’ Then there was a dress-up day at school and a lunchtime costume parade with all Elliott's classmates. Adorable to the max! After school, he refused to take off his costume, so he was very neon green all day.

Harper, on the other hand, fought me tooth and nail to get parts of her costume on, and for a girl who loves her accessories, she was not about to put on the headpiece.

The day ended with a get-together with some neighbors, hours of trick-or-treating, a street potluck, and a pizza afterparty next door.

It was a very successful day. There was a lot of candy & very happy, albeit sleepy, kiddos. I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking.
